Since February my life has been flying and many thanks to my manager David Viola. I keep telling him that he is unbelievable and he keeps coming up with more idea's to share my personality, life and sporting ability with the world. I have learnt that everything that has happened in my life is God's will be it good or bad. He is blessing me at the moment with so many wonderful opportunities and lessons.

On the 20th August the Gold Coast Weekend Bulletin hit the newsstands, I had been interviewed by Doug Parrington for the Paradise magazine contained in the Weekend Bulletin so I knew of a story coming out that Saturday.

David was messaging me from 7am with "R U Awake" and constantly ringing me when I finally ook his call (my phone was on silent) around 7.30am he was nearly jumping through he phone... "You made front page".... "Nooooooooooo... I never".. "Yes you did...now get up, go get the paper and ring me straight back" beep beep beep ...... Before I could get to the shop my neighbors daughter ran over with a copy and I couldn't believe it... without any prior notice I was front page of the Newspaper as well as front pageof the magazine. I was plastered in postersize outside every newsagent on the Gold Coast.

Inside the Paradise magazine was a beautiful photograph of Steve, Christie-Lee and myself. So you could imagine Christie-Lee's excitement at the age of 8 nearly 9 being a little celebrity in the newspaper, the story was very well written thank you Doug. The article should be up on the web page over the next few days

I visited the AIS in Canberra for a week of extensive training in May, then I jet setted between Melbourne and Sydney doing some really great media interviews including "Any Given Sunday" which is an AFL program shown in Victoria & Sth Australia. I was actually the very first live guest on the program. I had so much fun with Gary Lion, James Brayshaw and Sam Newman especially the part when I got to spar Sam Newman...The segment will be posted on the web page soon so you can all enjoy it.

In Sydney I met up with a very good friend of mine and ex boxing trainer Rod Waterhouse. Rod in the past has trained Paul Briggs, Wayne Parr, Nathan Briggs and Russel Sands. I spent a few months training with Rod prior to my bout with Holly Fernley in November 2001. It had been a while since I had seen Rod and even though he had retired as a boxing trainer we spent a few days hanging at the gym together (that means I sweated my butt off and he smiled a lot).

I know Rod had said to me many times during that week that he wasn't interested in getting back into training anyone and his closest friends even said there is no way Rod would get back into the training side of boxing...however Rod had a special look in his eye when we were in the gym...Lets just say that through the valuable time we got to spend together over that week Rod came out of retirement and I am now blessed to say that he kicks my butt every day.... Rod and I have a very strong relationship and I have so much respect for him Thank You Rod.

The WBC (World Boxing Council) began women's ratings approximately 3 months ago and I am World ranked # 2 which led me to offer World ranked # 1 Kelsey Jeffries an opportunity to fight for the very first WBC Featherweight Women's World Title in history. She turned down the bout and the WBC then assisted in matching a World Title fight between myself and Marcela Acuna World Ranked # 2 in the Super Bantamweight division.

David decided after trying to negotiate with promoters to put the historical event on that he would do it himself and take his first leap into promotions. We then enlisted the expertise of Leanne St George of the Gold Coast who holds the PR position with V8 Supercars and V8 Supergirls/Miss Indy. Thank you to Leanne's expertise and contacts our historical event is now a major part of LexMark Indy 300. The WBC World Title fight is an Official Off Track Event for LexMark Indy 300 here on the Gold Coast October 22nd. The poster will be up on the web page shortly.

Di Rolle from Melbourne is taking care of my media side of the PR and is a blessing to work with she has sent me live on GMA with Bert Newton, Channel 10 weather segment with Mike Larkin, Radio Interviews with Richard Stubbs on 774 ABC. I have to let you all know that when I fought in Melbourne in February Bert Newton sent me the most beautiful arrangement of flowers which were waiting in my dressing room and Richard Stubbs sat ringside to support me. That made me feel so special thank you to you both.

I am currently trying to hold back on loads of news for you guys as there is so much to tell you but I have been told I have to stay quiet for a little bit longer so each week I will let you know a little bit more and have reports done on all the people in our team. I would like to sincerely thank everyone on our team for all their tireless hard work at making not just my career a success our huge event in October. A very special thanks to Andrew Nuske for his constant work on my web page.

Wildthing xx
