I thought winning a fight, getting a Porsche Boxster to drive and getting engaged to the man I love was fairly full on for 2006. However I have been blessed with a major opportunity….to promote my own WBC World Title Defence on September 22nd right here on the Gold Coast.

Thank you to my management team…Tony Samuels….We have taken the next step in our walk of life. Stephen is busy matchmaking a great undercard of fresh talent we have included some fabulous entertainment with a celebrity charity match and a comedian. Our very own Sea Fm's Paul Gale will be the MC of the night so it's going to be an awesome night out.

My opponent is Holland's Esther Schouten she has a fight record of 22F-18W (9byTKO)-3L-1D. Esther has fought my mandatory defence Melissa Fiorentino in November 2005. It was a really good fight from all I have read about it so I know Esther is going to be one tough girl.

My training is fairly intense at the moment and I'm really looking forward to stepping back in the ring on September 22nd.

I've only recently returned from Melbourne where I was a special guest at the Australian National Boxing Federation Hall of Fame Awards. I spent a lot of time with Kostya Tzsyu who has become a very dear friend of mine. I also had an amazing night in the company of Barry Michaels, Johnny Famechon, Lionel Rose, Robbie Peden, Vic Darchinyan, Sam Soliman, Julian Holland and so many more. It was such a blessing to be recognised in the way I was on the night with every other warrior champion in my country. There will be some photos added shortly.

Also I have been blessed with the opportunity to do a documentary with ABC Australian Story so the last few weeks we have been spending a lot of time with Kent Gordon and his crew. So keep your eye out Kent is hoping to have the documentary ready for September 25th or close around that date.
